This year our Walk for Hope at the West Virginia State Capitol will be Saturday, August 17th at 9 a.m. and will be dedicated to raising start-up funds for our Children’s Resource Center.
Help us raise the necessary funds by starting a team or walking as an individual. Recruit your friends to join your team to help you reach and exceed your fundraising goal!
We're asking each walker to try and raise $100 to help us meet our goal. Starting a Facebook fundraiser is a simple way to help you reach that goal. Create a a fundraiser for Hope for Appalachia and share it with your friends and family. Whether local or out of state, any one can help support you as you raise funds and awareness for recovery in West Virginia. Raise $100 and receive a free walk t-shirt!
Registration and activities begin at 8 a.m. There will be many opportunities for you to learn more about our mission and why Hope for Appalachia is advocating for recovery in West Virginia. Registration and activities will start at 8 a.m. At 9 a.m. we will all walk together for 3 laps around our State Capitol to support children in the homes of active addiction. Each lap is about 6/10 of a mile. You can also honor someone who has fought for recovery by donating a luminary in their name. Each luminary will have a special place on the walk route to symbolize the number of people addiction has effected.
Help us spread the word about Walk For Hope on social media by inviting your friends and family to participate or become a sponsor! And if you can't participate, please consider making a donation toward our Children's Resource Center in the amount of your choice or becoming a regularly monthly partner with us.
