Walk Details
Join us for our 2020 Walk For Hope at the West Virginia State Capitol on Aug. 15 and help us raise money for our Children's Resource Center.
Important Info Regarding COVID-19
Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are taking extra precautions to make sure walkers and event staff are safe. We encourage everyone to wear masks and will be limiting the number of walkers by splitting into two groups (9 and 10 am). We will provide masks for walkers who don't have one and will have hand sanitizing stations. So we can manage crowd size, we are asking everyone to sign up before the walk. These measures will help everyone follow social distancing guidelines during the event. We will also have a walk-from-home option if you would prefer to participate virtually.
Registration will start at 30 minutes before your walk time. At the start of each time slot, participants will walk around the Capitol for two laps. Each lap is about 6/10 of a mile and can be completed in about 30 minutes. Registration is free, but we are asking each walker to commit to raising $100. Raise $100 and receive a free Walk For Hope T-shirt. If you can't participate but would like to make a donation to our Children's Resource Center, click here.
